Oenon Group Volunteer Activities
Through volunteer activities, we aim to be a sound member of and foster communication with the local community.
Volunteer Training by New Employees
From 2012 to 2019, the Company engaged in volunteer activities to support recovery efforts following the Great East Japan Earthquake. Although these activities were suspended from 2020 to 2024 due to the spread of COVID-19, beginning in 2025, the Company has resumed community-based volunteer activities—such as neighborhood cleanups in Sumida Ward—as part of its efforts to contribute to society.

Cultivation of the Next Generation, Contribution to the Local Community
We support the cultivation of the next generation to ensure that children, who will lead the next generation of society, are brought up in good health. In addition to plant tours for children of employees and students of local schools, we take active part in activities for local children.
Summer Vacation Company Tours and Hands-on Experience
Since 2012, we have held the "Summer Vacation Company Tour and Experience Program" for children of Oenon Group employees, offering plant tours and Company work experience nationwide.
Note: These activities have been suspended since 2020 due to COVID-19.

Hosting Social Studies Field Trips for Nearby Elementary Schools
In 2021, AKITAKENHAKKO KOGYO cooperated with an outreach class at Yamada Elementary School in the city of Yuzawa, hosting social studies tours and explaining about the factory and sake brewing.

Cultivating Human Resources through Product Development
AKITAKENHAKKO KOGYO cooperated in the product development of "Mitcheri Sour no Moto," an alcoholic beverage invented by the students of Akita Prefectural Yuzawa Shohoku High School. The product is a liqueur made from mitcheri (locally grown cherries that are dried using geothermal heat). The product was commercialized in October 2021 after a joint product development effort with the school’s students. We also offer hands-on experience in labeling and packaging bottles and assisting with sales at local retailers.

Participating in the "Akita Revitalization Junior High School Student Championship" as a Supporting Company
As a supporting company for the “Akita Revitalization Junior High School Student Championship(*)” (6th) hosted by Akita Sakigake Shimpo, AKITAKENHAKKO KOGYO welcomed students from Minami Junior High School in the city of Yuzawa in August 2025 for a factory tour and a lecture on sake brewing.
*In the aim of "discovering local attractions with a view to Akita’s future," junior high school students visit local companies, ask questions directly about their work, and present their ideas for regional revitalization that take advantage of the companies’ unique characteristics.

Company Expo
AKITAKENHAKKO KOGYO exhibits at “Company Expo,” a company information session for first- and second-year high school students hosted by Akita Prefecture, to convey the appeal of local companies and the people who work there. The purpose of this program is to increase the number of people employed in the prefecture by helping students learn about local companies’ strengths and attractions, and encourage pride in the companies.

Job Experience Programs
To foster occupational awareness and support career development, the Company provides one-day job experiences and internship opportunities. The internships are aimed at deepening students’ understanding of the alcoholic beverages industry and helping them build a career perspective for future job searches.
One-Day Work Experience
We provide work experience to help participants learn about us as a company that produces alcoholic beverages, enzymes and pharmaceuticals. In addition to providing a company overview and explanation of the enzymes and pharmaceuticals business, we offer experience in product planning and interaction with senior employees.
Since 2020, these have been conducted online.
Internships for Students at Technical Schools
AKITAKENHAKKO KOGYO offers internships for students at technical schools. These internships offer students an opportunity to think about forging their careers. Programs are designed in accordance with the schools’ wishes.
In July 2025, these internships were conducted over a five-day period.
Local Community Support
To prepare for disasters, we engage in community support activities in cooperation with related organizations.
Donating and Prioritizing the Supply of Alcohol
To help fight COVID-19, we donated alcohol to help with sterilization. In 2020, we donated approximately 6,000 liters of alcohol for this purpose to five cities and towns in Hokkaido and Shizuoka Prefecture, where our offices are located.
That same year, we supplied specific fermentative alcohol in response to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare’s request for cooperation in the "Priority Scheme for the Stable Supply of Ethanol for Hand Sanitizer." After adjusting the alcohol content, the ministry supplied this alcohol to medical institutions and used it as ethanol for disinfection.

GODO SHUSEI’s Shimizu Factory collaborated with Suzuyo & Co., Ltd. to provide drinking water in Shimizu-ku, Shizuoka, which experienced a long-term water outage due to Typhoon No. 15, which struck in September 2022.
