Social Media Guidelines
The Oenon Group*1 (hereinafter, the “Group”) has established these Social Media Guidelines (hereinafter, the “Guidelines”) to ensure the appropriate management of the Group’s official social media accounts (hereinafter referred to as the “Accounts”) in accordance with the Group’s Privacy Policy, and to promote effective communication through proper means. The Accounts shall be operated in accordance with these Guidelines.
*1 The “Oenon Group” refers to Oenon Holdings, Inc. and all of its subsidiaries, including but not limited to GODO SHUSEI CO., LTD., FUKUTOKUCHO CO., LTD., AKITAKENHAKKO KOGYO CO., LTD., OENON PRODUCT SUPPORT CO., LTD., and SUNNY MAIZE CO., LTD.
1. Use of the Accounts
By using the Accounts, users are deemed to have agreed to all terms set forth in the Guidelines. We kindly ask that you review and consent to the Guidelines before using the official account.
2. Operation of the Accounts
The Group recognizes that information posted on the Accounts may be made publicly available across the internet—not only within each respective social media platform—by users who view the Accounts (hereinafter, “Users”). With this understanding, the Group shall act with sound judgment and a sense of responsibility, clarify the purpose of communication, and utilize the Accounts as a platform for providing valuable information to Users and other stakeholders.
- Rules of operation: The Accounts will be used to share content related to the Group’s activities, products, and campaigns, as well as occasional posts from account administrators and direct communication with Users.
- Response hours: In principle, responses will be made during account administrators’ working hours.
- Administrators: The Accounts shall be operated by the Group and/or designated representatives of commissioned service providers.
3. Information Posted by the Company
Information posted on the Accounts does not necessarily represent the official announcements or views of the Group. For official announcements and views of the Group, please refer to the Group’s official website.
The Group does not guarantee or warrant the accuracy or completeness of the information posted on the Accounts, and such information may be changed or deleted without prior notice after publication. Furthermore, the Group bears no responsibility even if any damage or other disadvantage is incurred by Users as a result of the information posted.
Information on the Accounts is current as of the time of posting. For the latest information, please refer to the Group’s official website. In addition, when links to websites operated by third parties are posted on the Accounts, such links do not indicate that the Group supports, approves of, or endorses the linked sites, nor does the Group guarantee or warrant the accuracy or completeness of the information provided on such linked sites.
4. Responses and Handling of Inquiries
- The Group does not guarantee replies to all comments and other messages submitted by Users via features such as replies to the Accounts.
- In principle, the Group does not respond to inquiries made via direct messages (DMs).
- Comments and other submissions made to the Accounts are posted at the responsibility of the Users themselves, and the Group bears no responsibility for such posts.
- Comments and other submissions from Users do not represent the views of the Group and shall not be construed as endorsements or approvals by the Group.
- The Group may access and view publicly available information on social media posted by Users who follow or comment on the Accounts. Additionally, comments and opinions submitted by Users may be used as reference in the Group’s future business activities.
5. Following
The Group does not necessarily follow all Users who follow the Accounts. Additionally, there may be cases where the Group follows Users even if they do not follow the Accounts.
6. Handling of Personal Information
In cases where the Group obtains personal information from Users, such information shall be handled appropriately in accordance with the Group’s privacy policy.
7. Prohibited Acts
If any of the following acts are determined by the Group to fall under or be likely to fall under the categories described below, the Group may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice to the User, delete comments, block the posting account, or unfollow the User. The Group will not respond to any inquiries regarding the standards or reasoning behind such deletions, blocks, or unfollows.
- Disclosing, leaking, or identifying the personal information of other Users or third parties without their consent
- Defaming, slandering, or damaging the reputation or credibility of the Group, other Users, or third parties, regardless of whether such claims are substantiated
- Posting content that infringes on the property rights, intellectual property rights, or other rights of the Group or any third party
- Altering the information provided through the Accounts
- Engaging in profit-oriented activities through or in connection with the Accounts without the Group’s authorization
- Interfering with the operation of the Accounts through pranks, repetitive identical posts, or meaningless posts
- Posting content that lacks propriety, is obscene, discriminatory, or otherwise causes discomfort to third parties
- Engaging in electioneering, religious activities, or similar acts
- Impersonating the Group, a third party, or another User
- Posting content that violates laws or public order and morals
- Posting content unrelated to the purpose of the Accounts
- Engaging in any conduct that constitutes misconduct as defined by each social media platform
- Any other acts deemed inappropriate by the Group
8. Drinking in Moderation
The Group regards the promotion of drinking in moderation as a social responsibility, and accordingly asks Users to observe responsible drinking practices on the Accounts. In addition to content subject to removal under the terms of each social media platform, posts that fall under or are likely to fall under any of the following categories may be deleted.
Furthermore, individuals under the age of 20 are not permitted to post on the Accounts, with the exception of the official Oenon Recruit social media accounts and the official GODOSHUSEI enzymes and pharmaceuticals social media accounts and the official SUNNY MAIZE social media accounts.
- Posts related to the Accounts by individuals under the age of 20, or posts that include photos, comments, or videos showing individuals under the age of 20 (or those who appear to be under 20) consuming alcohol
- Content that promotes underage drinking, excessive alcohol consumption, or irresponsible drinking behavior
- Content that encourages drinking while operating a vehicle, using machinery, performing tasks that require concentration, or immediately after exercise
- Content that promotes drinking during pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Any other content deemed inappropriate by the Group
9. Handling of Intellectual Property Rights
The rights to content posted in connection with the Accounts shall belong to the Users; however, Users shall grant the Group a non-exclusive, royalty-free license, without limitation as to scope or duration.
The Group may use content posted in connection with the Accounts (including content that has not been published) on the Group’s website, in campaigns, events, and other such activities. In such cases, the Group shall bear no obligation to notify Users or to provide any monetary or other compensation.
10. Disclaimers
Use of information provided by the Group through the Accounts shall be at the sole discretion and responsibility of the Users. The Group shall bear no responsibility for any loss or damage incurred by Users as a result of such use.
The Group shall not be liable for any damages incurred by Users arising from the use of the Accounts or from the inability to use the Accounts for any reason.
The Group shall bear no responsibility for any damages incurred by Users or third parties resulting from disputes between Users or between Users and third parties in connection with the Accounts. In the event that a User causes damage to a third party, the User shall be solely responsible for addressing the matter. The User shall bear any such damages and shall not cause any inconvenience to the Group. The Group shall not be involved in any way with regard to such third-party matters.
The Accounts may be terminated or deleted without prior notice.
11. Revisions to the Guidelines
The Group may revise the Guidelines without prior notice. In such cases, the most recent version of the Guidelines posted on the Group’s official website shall apply.
By using the Accounts, Users shall be deemed to have agreed to the Guidelines, and Users shall not raise any objections against the Group in this regard.
