Corporate Philosophy and Policy

The Oenon Group, a comprehensive alcoholic beverage manufacturer, traces its origins to GODO SHUSEI CO., LTD., which was established in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, in 1924 through the merger of four shochu manufacturers within Hokkaido. Since its founding, the Group has brought to market a wide range of products and services grounded in biotechnology cultivated through the manufacture of alcoholic beverages.
Today, under a holding company structure and with functional roles divided among Group companies, we operate across multiple sectors, including the alcoholic beverages business—which involves the manufacture and sale of products such as shochu, chu-hi (RTD), and brewing and industrial alcohol for sale; the enzymes and pharmaceuticals business—which encompasses enzymes and contract fermentation services; and the real estate business—which leverages Group assets.
The Oenon Group believes that shared understanding among all employees is essential to achieving sustainable growth and balancing both economic and social value. Below, we present the company policies that form the foundation of the Group’s activities, beginning with our corporate philosophy.
